- Provide and improve the SmartBaskt app and coupon finding service
- Personalize your coupon recommendations over time
- Find the nearest store locations to you
- Track your potential savings history
- Send you updates about new deals and app features (if you opt in)

3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information in the following ways:
- Anonymized and aggregated data: We collect and sell anonymized, aggregated shopping insights to consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands, retailers, and market research firms. This data does not identify you personally — it represents trends across our user base, such as "SmartBaskt users purchase Tide detergent frequently" or "demand for organic products is increasing."
- Retail partners: We may share anonymized shopping behavior data with our retail partners including Kroger, Walmart, Target, Publix, and Safeway to improve coupon relevance and availability.
- Service providers: We use third-party services including Supabase (database), Anthropic (AI), and Expo (app platform) to operate SmartBaskt. These providers only access your data as needed to provide their services.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of SmartBaskt and its users.
Important: We do not sell your personally identifiable information (your name, email address, or account details) to third parties. Data shared with partners is anonymized and aggregated.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information and scan history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information will be removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data derived from your usage may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be traced back to you.

- Anthropic Claude AI — processes cart images for product recognition
- Supabase — stores user accounts and scan data
- Google Sign-In — optional authentication method
- Expo — mobile app platform
